VSIP was started with the VSIP I Industrial Park Development Project in Thuan An District (now Thuan An Town), Binh Duong Province with the Groundbreaking Ceremony on May 14th, 1996. The event was attended by former Vietnamese Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and former Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong as representatives of the two Governments.

VSIP I has now become one of the modeled industrial parks with the achievement of a leading industrial park in Vietnam. With 100% of the land occupied, VSIP I has now attracted 231 projects with a total investment of about 3.2 billion USD. The project has created 95,000 jobs for workers and contributed to the industrialization, modernization and urbanization of Binh Duong province.

VSIP I has also been very successful in creating complex projects of Commercial – Service – Urban centres to create a workable and livable environment in the industrial park. One of such projects is the Habitat Binh Duong high-end apartment project.
