The Prime Minister has just issued Document No. 156/TTg-CN dated February 4, 2021 on supplementing the planning of industrial zones (IZs) in Can Tho City.

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (Dispatch No. 8710/BKHĐT-QLKKT dated December 28, 2020) on adjusting and supplementing the development planning of industrial zones in the city. In Can Tho, the Prime Minister commented: Agreeing with the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in the above document on adjusting the development planning of industrial zones in Can Tho is as follows:

Supplementing the planning of O Mon - Can Tho Industrial Park (area of ​​500 ha; location in Truong Lac Ward, O Mon District, Can Tho City) and Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (area of ​​900 ha; location in Vinh Trinh Commune) , Vinh Thanh District, Can Tho City) in the Industrial Zones Development Planning.

DEPLOYMENT

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hong has just assigned the Management Board of Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones to act as an investor in making an adjustment plan and calling for investment in the 500-hectare O Mon Industrial Park located in Truong Lac Ward, District 1. O Mon and Vinh Thanh Industrial Park 900 ha in Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Thanh district in accordance with the prescribed order and procedures.

The Department of Planning and Investment supports the Management Board of Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones to update the above 2 industrial zones into the Integrated Planning according to the Planning Law dated 5/12/2017; submit a document to the Ministry of Planning and Investment guiding the form of calling for investors for O Mon Industrial Park, Vinh Thanh Industrial Park and Hung Phu 1 Industrial Park, Hung Phu II according to Decree No. 25/2020/ND-CP dated February 28, 2020 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Bidding Law on investor selection or the Government's Decree No. 18/2018/ND-CP dated May 22, 2018 stipulating on management of industrial zones and economic zones, as a basis for implementation.

1. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment updated and added O Mon and Vinh Thanh Industrial Parks to the city's land use planning adjustment plan, advising the City People's Committee to submit to the City Council in accordance with regulations.

1. The Department of Industry and Trade supports the Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones Management Board to update priority industries to attract investment invitations in 2 industrial zones O Mon and Vinh Thanh industrial zones.

1. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development supports the Management Board of Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones to update, balance, and distribute the conversion rate of paddy land to industrial land in accordance with the sector planning. ...
