TAX INCENTIVES

1. Corporate income tax

Normal tax rate = 17%

(Basic occupation) applied in the first 10 years.

In case of newly established enterprises, investment projects in industrial clusters will enjoy tax exemption for the first 2 years and 50% tax reduction for the next 4 years.

2. Import and export tax

Import tax exemption for machinery and equipment used to create fixed assets.

Exemption from import tax on raw materials and materials imported for the production of goods for export.

3. VAT

VAT applies to industries from: 0%, 5% and 10%.

VAT exemption for goods including raw materials and materials imported for the production of goods for export under contracts signed with foreign countries.

4. Tax on overseas remittance

Enterprises do not have to pay tax on remittance abroad.

HUGE LABOR RESOURCES

Thai Nguyen possesses an abundant labor force, with about 760,000 people of working age, of which workers under 35 years old account for about 58%. The regional minimum wage is low, Phu Binh district located in region 3 is 3,640,000 VND/month (equivalent to $155/month).
