Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is an integrated technology park located in the West - Hanoi with a total area of ​​up to 1,5862 hectares. Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is a national high-tech park established and approved by the Prime Minister with the master plan in Decision No. 198/1998/QD-TTg dated October 12, 1998 with the aim of accelerating the process of industrialization and modernization of the regional and national economy.

In 2008, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) supported the study and adjustment of the master plan of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.

On October 25, 2014, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 201/QD-TTg approving the task of adjusting the master plan on construction of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park until 2030. May 27, 2016 at Decision No. 899/QD-TTg, Prime Minister approved the adjustment of general planning on construction of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park until 2030.
