HO CHI MINH CITY PREPARES TO BUILD 17KM OF RING ROAD 4TH

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just assigned the Department of Transport to prepare to invest in the Ring Road 4 (the bridge over the Saigon River - Thay Cai Canal) in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP).

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigns the Department of Transport to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units in making pre-feasibility study reports, reports and performing other related tasks in the following manner. public-private partnership and other relevant legislation.

Ring Road 4 is nearly 200 km long, with a design of 6-8 lanes, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau with a total estimated preliminary investment of about VND 100,000 billion. and is implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

In September 2021, the Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Transport to assign 5 localities as competent agencies to implement ring road 4th projects.

In particular, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is the competent authority to implement the Phu My - Bau Can section, about 18 km long.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is the authority to implement the section Bau Can - Thu Bien bridge (excluding Thu Bien bridge), about 45 km long.

Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee is the competent authority to implement the section of Thu Bien Bridge - Saigon River (including Thu Bien bridge and excluding Saigon River crossing bridge), about 49 km long.

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is the authority to implement the bridge over the Saigon River - Thay Cai canal (including the bridge over the Saigon River), about 17 km long.

The People's Committee of Long An province is the authority to implement the section of Thay Cai - Hiep Phuoc canal (including the section through Hiep Phuoc area in the territory of Ho Chi Minh City), about 71 km long.
